About Priory School
Of the 78 parents who responded to Ofsted’s Parent View survey between September 2024 and September 2025, 83% said they would recommend Priory School to other parents. That’s a strong vote of confidence, and it’s backed up by the fact that the school is oversubscribed: for the 2025/26 academic year, there were 105 applications for 57 places, giving an oversubscription ratio of 1.84. 51 of those applications were first-preference choices, and all 51 first-preference families were offered a place. On the survey, 95% of parents agreed or strongly agreed that their child is happy at the school, and 91% said their child feels safe. 84% felt the school has high expectations for their child, and 86% agreed their child does well there. The picture is slightly more mixed on how concerns are handled — 64% agreed they are dealt with properly, while 13% disagreed — and on SEND support, 80% agreed the school gives children the support they need, though 16% strongly disagreed.
Academically, Priory School’s Key Stage 2 results for 2023/24 place it 25th out of 26 primary schools in Slough, putting it in the bottom tier locally. 53% of pupils met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined, compared with the Slough local authority average of 70%. In individual subjects, 67% reached the expected standard in reading, 65% in writing, and 64% in maths. At the higher standard, just 4% achieved it across all three subjects, with 17% reaching it in reading and 27% in maths. Progress scores are not available in the data, so it’s hard to say how much value the school adds. In its most recent Ofsted inspection in November 2024, the school was rated Good across all areas — quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, early years provision, and leadership and management — and it has held a Good rating since at least its previous inspection in 2015.
Priory School is a mixed, non-religious state primary for children aged 3 to 11, with a nursery on site. It has 592 pupils against a capacity of 700, so there is some room for growth. 23.1% of pupils are eligible for free school meals, which is above the national average. The school offers a range of facilities including an ICT suite, art studios, a sensory room, and outdoor playgrounds and playing fields. Sports include football, netball, cricket, gymnastics and dance, and there are clubs such as book club, drama, art club and gardening. SEND provision is broad, covering specific learning difficulties like dyslexia, moderate learning difficulty, social and emotional mental health needs, speech and language communication needs, hearing and visual impairments, physical disability, and autistic spectrum disorder, including a resourced provision. This school will suit families in Slough who value a strong sense of community and a Good-rated school, but who are comfortable with academic results that sit below the local average.

Catchment & Local Competition
No catchment data published for this school
The dashed grey ring is a generic 1-mile reference area — it's not an admission boundary. Real catchment depends on year, demand, and council criteria. We currently have real data for about 6% of UK schools and are actively expanding the database.
⚠ This school is oversubscribed — without published cutoff data we can't show how far places reach. Check your council's admissions page.
