About Jubilee Academy Mossley
Jubilee Academy Mossley is a state primary school in the Walsall local authority, serving 194 pupils aged 4 to 11. It sits in the middle of the pack among the 85 primary schools in the borough, ranking 27th overall. For context, the top-performing local peers are St Anne's Catholic Primary School, Streetly, Croft Academy, and St Mary of the Angels Catholic Primary School. The nearest school rated Outstanding by Ofsted is New Invention Learning Academy, about 1.9 kilometres away. The school is led by headteacher Kate Benton and has no religious character. It is oversubscribed for the 2025/26 intake, with 35 applications for 22 places and 20 first-preference offers, giving an oversubscription ratio of 1.59. Just over half of pupils are eligible for free school meals, at 54.1 per cent, which is significantly above the national average and reflects the school's role in a community with higher-than-average deprivation.
In its most recent Ofsted inspection in September 2024, the school was rated Good across all graded areas: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and early years provision. This is consistent with its previous Good rating from 2015. At Key Stage 2 in the 2023/24 academic year, 62 per cent of pupils reached the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined, which is in line with the Walsall local authority average of 61 per cent. Reading was the strongest individual subject, with 76 per cent reaching the expected standard and 17 per cent achieving a higher score. Maths followed at 69 per cent expected and 7 per cent higher, while writing saw 72 per cent at expected and 7 per cent at higher. No pupils reached the higher standard in all three subjects combined. The school's average reading score was 103 and maths score was 101, both slightly above the national average of 100.
The school offers a range of facilities including a dining hall, ICT suite, library, music rooms and a chapel. Sports provision covers netball, cricket, football, tennis, rounders and dance, while clubs include drama, choir and chess. SEND support is available for moderate learning difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs, speech, language and communication needs, and autistic spectrum disorder. Parent View responses from 22 respondents between September 2024 and September 2025 show mixed feelings: 55 per cent would recommend the school, but 45 per cent would not. Strong positives include 77 per cent agreeing or strongly agreeing that their child is happy, and 91 per cent agreeing or strongly agreeing that their child feels safe. However, only 55 per cent felt concerns are dealt with properly, and just 55 per cent agreed the school supports wider personal development. This school will suit families who value a community-focused primary with strong safeguarding and a broad curriculum, but who are prepared for a more mixed parent experience.

Catchment & Local Competition
No catchment data published for this school
The dashed grey ring is a generic 1-mile reference area — it's not an admission boundary. Real catchment depends on year, demand, and council criteria. We currently have real data for about 6% of UK schools and are actively expanding the database.
⚠ This school is oversubscribed — without published cutoff data we can't show how far places reach. Check your council's admissions page.
