About Highfield Primary School
Highfield Primary School in Hillingdon holds a Good rating from Ofsted, a grade it has maintained across both its most recent inspections. The school’s most informative exam metric is the proportion of pupils reaching the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined, which stood at 53% in the 2023/24 academic year. This places the school below the Hillingdon local authority average of 64%, and ranks it 44th out of 55 primary schools in the borough, putting it in the bottom 50% nationally. However, the picture is more mixed when you look at individual subjects: 69% of pupils met the expected standard in reading and 67% in writing, while 69% also hit the target in maths. The average scaled scores were 102 for reading and 104 for maths, both slightly above the national baseline of 100. Just 7% of pupils achieved the higher standard across all three subjects, though 24% did so in maths alone.
Ofsted’s most recent visit in October 2024 was an ungraded inspection, which confirmed that standards remain good. The previous graded inspection in 2015 rated the school Good overall, with leadership and management judged Outstanding. The early years provision was rated Good in both inspections. The school’s leadership and management remain Good, according to the most recent breakdown. Parent View responses, collected between September 2024 and September 2025, show that 90% of the 19 respondents agreed or strongly agreed that their child is happy at the school, and 95% felt their child is safe. However, only 68% would recommend the school to another parent, and responses on how concerns are handled were more divided, with 58% agreeing or strongly agreeing that concerns are dealt with properly.
Highfield is a three-form entry primary with a nursery, and it was significantly oversubscribed for the 2025/26 intake, receiving 77 applications for just 20 places — an oversubscription ratio of 3.85 to one. Fourteen first-preference families were offered a place. The school has a broad range of facilities including a sports hall, forest school, art studios, playing fields, a sensory room and a chapel. It offers clubs such as chess, gardening, choir and art club, and sports include rounders, football, cross country and cricket. SEND provision covers eight areas, including autistic spectrum disorder, speech and language needs, and physical disabilities. With 29.4% of pupils eligible for free school meals, the school serves a diverse community. It will suit families who value a Good-rated school with strong early years provision and a wide range of enrichment activities, but who are aware that academic outcomes in core subjects are below the local average.

The dashed grey ring is a generic 1-mile reference area — it's not an admission boundary. Real catchment depends on year, demand, and council criteria. We currently have real data for about 6% of UK schools and are actively expanding the database.
⚠ This school is oversubscribed — without published cutoff data we can't show how far places reach. Check your council's admissions page.
