About Heritage Park Primary School
Heritage Park Primary School is a state primary for mixed-gender pupils aged 4 to 11 in Peterborough, and it is currently running very close to full capacity with 205 pupils against a school capacity of 210. The proportion of pupils eligible for free school meals stands at 11.7 per cent, which is notably lower than the national average for primary schools and suggests a relatively less disadvantaged intake compared with many schools in the local authority. Demand for places is strong: for the 2025/26 academic year, the school received 89 total applications for just 30 places, giving an oversubscription ratio of 2.97. Of those, 44 were first-preference applications, and all 30 places went to first-preference offers, indicating that the school is a popular first choice among local families. The school has no religious character, and its headteacher is Karen Bell.
Academically, Heritage Park performs well above the local authority average. In the 2023/24 Key Stage 2 assessments, 73 per cent of pupils reached the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined, compared with the Peterborough LA average of 59 per cent. This places the school 9th out of 53 primary schools in the local authority, putting it in the top 25 per cent nationally. In individual subjects, 80 per cent met the expected standard in reading and in maths, while 87 per cent did so in writing. Higher-standard attainment was strongest in maths, with 30 per cent of pupils achieving the higher score, and 27 per cent in reading. Average scaled scores were 105 in both reading and maths. The school’s most recent Ofsted inspection in January 2025 rated it Good across all areas, including quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and early years provision. Its previous inspection in 2012 had judged it Outstanding overall, so the current Good rating represents a step down from that earlier grade.
The school offers a range of facilities including art studios, a forest school, music rooms, a sensory room, a sports hall and a chapel. Sports on offer include athletics, tennis, cross country, football, rounders and swimming, while clubs include choir, art club, science club, film club and drama. The school has identified SEND provisions for specific learning difficulties (dyslexia), speech, language and communication needs, and autistic spectrum disorder. However, the Parent View responses, based on 76 respondents, show some mixed feedback on SEND support: 31 per cent strongly disagreed that the school gives SEND children the support they need, and 25 per cent disagreed, though 25 per cent strongly agreed and 13 per cent agreed. Overall, 84 per cent of parents would recommend the school. With strong academic results and high demand for places, this is a school that suits families prioritising above-average attainment in a well-subscribed local primary, though those with SEND children may want to investigate the support on offer more closely.

The dashed grey ring is a generic 1-mile reference area — it's not an admission boundary. Real catchment depends on year, demand, and council criteria. We currently have real data for about 6% of UK schools and are actively expanding the database.
⚠ This school is oversubscribed — without published cutoff data we can't show how far places reach. Check your council's admissions page.
